Urgent translation in Cameroon: when it is worth it
Our normal turnaround between French and English is 48 hours, at 10,000 FCFA per page. The urgent service cuts that to 24 hours for 20,000 FCFA per page. That price is fixed too. It does not go up because you write late at night or on a Sunday.
People take it when time has really run out: a visa submission slot moved earlier, a university or employer closing applications, a missing document the office asks for at the last minute. If you still have two days, the normal service is enough and costs half as much.
The 24-hour service covers French to English and English to French only. For Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, German or any other language, urgent work is quoted case by case on WhatsApp. Tell us the language and your deadline, and we will say what can be done and at what price.
An urgent translation is done by the same sworn translator of the Centre Court of Appeal, with the same seal and signature as a normal one. Only the turnaround changes.

What we can do, and what we cannot
Nothing under 24 hours. The shortest turnaround is 24 hours from receipt of payment. There is no translation in a few hours, even for a single page.
Legalisation is not included. If the office wants your documents legalised, that is a separate step with the relevant administration, on its own timeline. It does not fit inside the 24 hours, so plan your days around it.
Neither is submitting your file. You receive the translation. Taking the file to the embassy, school or employer is still your job, along with the rest of the application.
Very long documents. A twenty-page court judgment or a thick bundle of transcripts is not a one-page certificate. The quote tells you whether 24 hours is realistic for your document, before you pay anything.
Paper takes extra time. The 24 hours cover the translation and the PDF. If you need the paper copy outside Yaoundé, the parcel adds to the time, and its cost is on top.
How to order an urgent translation
- Send a sharp photo of every page on WhatsApp, front and back, edges visible.
- Write “urgent 24 hours” in your message, with the language you have and the one you need.
- Add the photo page of your passport so we copy your names exactly.
- Get the quote: page count, total at 20,000 FCFA per page, and whether 24 hours is realistic for your document.
- Pay by Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money or bank transfer, then send proof of payment.
- The 24 hours run from receipt of payment. The sealed PDF reaches you on WhatsApp or by email.
Clear photos mean a fast quote. A blurred or cropped page has to be sent again, and that lost time cannot be made up.

Pages are counted the usual way: pages of the document, not photos. A back page counts if it carries text, a stamp or a marginal note. A card printed on both sides, such as a driving licence or national ID card, counts as one page.

The sealed, signed PDF reaches you on WhatsApp or by email as soon as it is ready. If the office accepts digital documents, you can forward it straight away.
If it wants paper, you collect it by appointment in Yaoundé, Carrefour Tam-Tam, or it goes to your town by parcel, through a travel agency or a delivery service. Delivery costs are not included in the price.
The receiving office sets its own rules on format, legalisation and number of copies. Check its current list before you order, all the more when your days are counted.
