Russian translation: what it is for
Russia has welcomed Cameroonian students for a long time, in medicine, engineering and many other fields. To enrol, they usually present a birth certificate, a diploma and a transcript, and the university or the authorities may want them in Russian.
The other need, just as common, comes on the way back. A Russian degree with its grade supplement, an internship attestation or a medical certificate written in Russian has to be read in English or French by an employer, a professional body or an administration in Cameroon.
What needs translating, and in what form, is up to the body receiving your file. Ask it for the current list before you order, so you do not pay for a paper nobody is waiting for.

What to send us

Where Russian translations go wrong
Your name in Cyrillic. In Russian your name is written in Cyrillic letters, and there can be more than one way to transcribe it. If it already appears on a visa or invitation letter, send us that document and the translation uses the same spelling.
Back into Latin letters. The other way round, a name transcribed from Cyrillic has to match your passport. We follow the passport, not an automatic transliteration.
The forgotten supplement. A Russian degree often comes with a supplement listing subjects and grades. An employer may want both, so have them translated together.
Degree titles. A Russian title has no automatic equivalent in Cameroon. We translate the official title without inventing one: recognition is for the competent body to decide.
Whether the translation is accepted. Some bodies only accept translations done in their own country. Ask the receiving office before you order.
